I get an Error page telling me I'm not a registered member when in fact I AM registered and logged into the site. What gives?
These glitches are often the result of corrupted data files called a "cookies", and can be corrected by deleting them. Here's how:
1. Log out of the site 2. Look in your browser preferences, locate and delete the four cookies originating from our site 3. Reboot your browser (optional but a good idea anyway) 4. Relog into the site.
This procedure usually solves the problem.
I added my own avatar. Why does it look weird?
Avatars are automatically resized to fit within the allowed space. For best results, crop and/or resize your image to 100 x 60 pixels.
Toggling IM Popup screens
Whenever you go to a new page, your Private Messages are checked for any new instant messages. If you have a new message, you will get a popup alert.
If you prefer NOT to have the IM alerts appear, edit your Profile and scroll down to where this option is presented. Save your change, and from then on your messages will still gather in your Messages area but you will NOT be alerted. You can change this preference at any time.
